| Activity | The Forum was owned by the Livingston Development Corporation, but was initially leased to and operated by Murray Leisure Ltd. The Forum included, upstairs, a 23x12m "Lounge Suite", and then downstairs a multi-use main hall of 43.2mx32.2m which could be used for sporting or corporate functions - the hall could hold 1000 people for a sit down meal, or 1928 adults on tiered seating for a sporting event. There were also two foyers (north and south) at 30.5x6.1metres.
The construction of The Forum was completed in August 1986, and it opened shortly after. Due to difficulties in sustaining finance the Forum went through a number of operators, but was eventually shut down in late 1994. |
