AdminHistoryCraigshill Mall was built in the 1968 and acted as a 'temporary town centre' before the completion of the Almondvale Shopping Centre in 1977. When first constructed the mall was seen as the height of modernity, being a completely covered shopping centre. However, even during the 1960s there were problems with maintenance and its general condition deteriorated. With the completion of Almondvale Shopping Centre the mall lost status, most of its custom base and its general condition continued to decline. Half of the mall was demolished and replaced with a free standing shop in 1977. It has been refurbished several times during its lifetime.
