| AdminHistory | The Joint Staff Council was the Corporation's Joint Industrial Council that served as a forum for staff and management to raise issues with each other in attempt to reach amicable agreement. For example, in the 1980s the Livingston Development Corporation introduced a flexi-time work scheme and it was in the Joint Staff Council that the terms and method of the scheme were agreed. Most major issues relating to pay and conditions of service were negotiated at the general New Towns Joint Industrial Council - the Whitley Council for New Towns Staff. |
