AdminHistoryWF Thomas was the Corporation's first Personnel Officer. The post was initially attached to the Management Section of Corporation in the 1960s as an assistant secretary, but as the Corporation grew in staff numbers so the responsibilities of the Personnel Officer grew. A Personnel and Training Section was created as part of the Adminstration and Legal Department before 1973. When the Financial and Management Services was formed in the 1990s Personnel was incorporated as a defined section. Personnel and Training was responsible for developing staffing policies, arranging training, writing internal notices to staff, creating the agenda for the Establishment Committee and Joint Industrial Council and for managing all other human resource issues. There were 3 Personnel and Training Officers during the lifetime of the Corporation. WF Thomas, Thomas Swan, and GW Brewer.
