AdminHistory | Wiggins Teape occupied a typical advance factory built by the Corporation in the 1960s. The factory was originally occupied by Yale Locke but Wiggins Teape occupied the property in the 1970s. In 1986 they signed an extension to the lease but in 1990, when due to sign a further extension, they could not reach an agreement with the LDC as to the terms. The matter went to arbitration, but it appears that a solution was found, whereby Wiggins Teape bought the property outright from the Corporation in 1993, for the price of £1,762,500, inclusive of VAT. |
