AdminHistory | When drawing up which prospective landlords would contest the housing ballot against the Council, the Corporation judged the applicants on financial and non-financial criteria, as well as thier acceptability to tenants. Financial criteria included the price the association would willing to pay for the housing stock, management costs and so on, whilst non-financial criteria was based on repair policies, allocation policies, maintenance policies and other associated management policies.
In final result West Lothian Council won seven of the ten ballot areas. Craigshill and Howden areas voted for Almond Housing Association, whilst the sheltered housing tenants voted for Bield Housing Association, an association that specialised in supported housing for the elderly . |
