| AdminHistory | Although there was a Community Development Officer appointed to the Corporation in 1967, Community Development as a corporate function did not gain equal footing with the Housing Department until 1983, when it was formally incorporated into the department name (replaing 'Social Relations') following David Kelly's re-organisation of the department. Community Development remained a self-contained unit, either as part of Housing, separately, or attached to the Commercial Directorate, until 1993, when it was renamed Communication Services and its operational remit changed slightly to reflect the Wind-Up of the organisation. |
