AdminHistory | The need for a Dedridge Youth Centre arose in the early 1970s as a result of a lack of activities and resources for young persons in the Dedridge area. A local steering group met local councillors and with the Corporation, to discuss how these needs could be met. A bulding was leased by the Corporation to a voluntary management committee and this method of management continued into the 1990s. The management committee was responsible for key holding, administration, membership and allocations policy. It was not subject to the letting policy of Lothian Regional Council. |
