AdminHistoryThe Livingston Council for Older People was set up with the intention of providing a single body that brought together individuals, statutory and voluntary bodies that aimed to promote the interests of older people within the Livingston area. The Council was to co-ordinate access to, and aimed to improve, education and health, and relieve poverty, distress and loneliness.

Examples of its activities include organising a seminar "Focus on Falls" to highlight what caused old people to fall and preventative measures that could be taken and fundraising to setup a mini-bus service designed to help older people move around Livingston.
