AdminHistoryThe Livingston Model Stock Car Club first met in 1991, and had over 50 members by 1993. Temporary facilities for weekend meets were provided by a car park to the north of the town centre. Seeking a more appropriate long term location the club entered into a tenancy agreement with the Livingston Development Corporation and West Lothian District Council, who built a permanent racing oval near the Almondvale Centre in 1992.

The Almondvale Raceway hosted the European Championships in 1993, attracting considerable tourism from Germany, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.
