TitleNewyearfield Farm Community Centre
Date1977-1994
TermCommunity centres
AdminHistoryNewyearfield Farm and its surrounding buildings were owned by the Livingston Development Corporation. Despite plans in the late 1970s to convert the farm in to a community centre, until 1989 the farm was leased as a residential building and the outbuildings leased as stores and workshops. Following the decline of the physical condition of the buildings it was decided to renovate the site.

From 1989-1992 the Corporation investigated a number of possible uses for the buildings, including community, commercial and residential plans. By 1992 the decision had been taken to develop the site as community centre for use by the north-west centre district of Livingston. Refurbishment started in 1992 and was finished in 1993. As of 2012 Newyearfield Farm is still in use as a community centre.
