AdminHistory | Community Radio Association West Lothian was formed in 1985 to campaign for a granting of an incremental broadcasting licence. The group participated in local and national campaigns for a change in legislation to allow airwaves to be used by community radio stations. In 1989 Livingston was one of three areas in Scotland to be granted a licence. The Radio Station was to be small and closely identified with the area it served. Following the granting of the licence a number of feasibility studies were undetaken as to the commercial viability of the project. |
