AdminHistory | On designation the Corporation acquired a number of buildings within the boundaries of the area that was to become Livingston. These buildings were mostly demolished to make way for the new residential districts. Following a community campaign in 1967 to save Craigsfarm, the Corporation changed policy to retain, where possible, pre-designation buildings. The files in this series represent those buildings that were deemed too unsafe to remain standing, or were too costly to refurbish. |
