AdminHistory | Given the complex relatioship between the churches in Livingston, there was the need for co-operative bodies that could oversee the interrelationship of the churches invovled in the Ecumenical Experiment. At a senior church level, members interested in ecumenical expression met in the Committee on the Approaches of the Churches to Livingston where broad consensus was arranged and also the Livingston Ecumenical Council.
Within Livingston itself there was the need to finess the operation of the management committees of the Craigshill church so that the running of the church was palatable to all parties involved in the area, as well as ensuring the church could operate on a day to day basis. This resulted in the formation of a management committee, a church council, and a variety of sub-committees. |
