AdminHistoryOn the creation of the ecumenical experiment, the Catholics did not contribute - the theological divide being perceived too great. However, they did send an enthusiastic priest to the area and by the 1970s they had agreed to play a part in the Lanthorn Community Centre in Dedridge, in which they opened a chapel. Maitland was of the opinion that the ecumenical experiment could only be stronger with Catholic involvement.
