ScopeandContent | This volume was initially used as a diary, but later was used as a place to write notes that appear to form the basis of Living Stones. In addition to this, there were several groups of paper found within the note book. These notes have been removed for preservation purposes but their location at the time of deposit has been noted below:
[1. Diary] 2. Maitland's notes on a variety of social issues such as 'democratic intellect', 'obedience' and 'unemployment.' These were removed from the inside cover. 3. Newspaper clippings from 1983, removed from the page for December 30. 4. Printed article "Social Balance and New Town Organizations", and a letter from the Church of Scotland Board of Social Responsibility asking about a committee on health and healing, 30/04/1984, found in the address section of the notebook. |
